79 WARDOUR STREET

AT 79 WARDOUR

Due to the huge success of Frith Street cutting rooms, we took another building on Wardour St. It's a self contained (no strangers wandering around), cyber secure building, perfect for those highly confidential projects.

13 cutting & production rooms with its own 4k viewing theatre onsite.

79 Wardour can be booked in its entirety or per room.

A lovely characterful place, steeped in British film history.

When the building came on the market, for the first time in many years, we snapped it up, renovated it to its original glory and brought it back to life.

We even found an original 1935 Ross 35mm cinema projector!

Today, clients have included HBO, NETFLIX, AMAZON and APPLE

Fully air conditioned, 1GB internet speed, office furniture supplied (desks, chairs and sofas) and private bike store on ground floor.

Spacious open plan top floor

Plenty of fridges around to chill down beers for after work screenings or client parties!

On site 4K screening room

The screening room was set up by Cre8tive Rooms who say;

'Wardour Street in Soho has been an iconic centre for the British film industry since the early 20th century. So naturally, when we were approached to install a screening room at this prestigious address, we jumped at the opportunity. Stereo sound is generally used at this stage in film production before post sound production has taken place. Therefore, two Artcoustic SL Evolve 16-8s were used as left and right channels along with two Sub 3s behind the screen and two further Sub 2s were used at the rear of the room to provide a more immersive overall experience despite not having complete surround sound.

Image at this stage in production is of paramount importance, so we opted for a Denon AVC-X4700H AV receiver to handle the direct inputs required paired with a Sony VPL-VW590ES 4K projector and 2.35:1 Screen Excellence screen. Control4 EA-1s were used to simplify the operation of each room along with custom programmed remote controls. Additional features included upholstered wall panels to help with the acoustics of the rooms and black out blinds to minimise any light interference.'

The room seats 15 to 20 people and has the best views of Soho.
